Laugh Factory Comes to Catalina

AVALON — Boaters can enjoy nights of side-splitting comedy entertainment on Catalina Island, thanks to a recent partnership between the Santa Catalina Island Co. and the Laugh Factory Comedy Club. As part of this arrangement, every Friday through Aug. 30, twice-nightly shows will be presented at the Catalina Country Club.

Ticket buyers can enjoy a night of comedy at the shows, starting at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Attendees will also find a full bar and dinner menu.

The new partnership is an element of the Santa Catalina Island Co.’s ongoing efforts to expand the island’s nightlife offering, which includes DJs, live entertainment and beverage specials at Descanso Beach Club, Avalon Grille and Two Harbors’ Harbor Reef Restaurant for the summer season, according to the company.

“We are thrilled to be working with the Laugh Factory as part of our continued evolution of Catalina as a full-service resort destination,” said Randall Herrel, CEO of the Santa Catalina Island Co. “The Comedy Nights — combined with our other offerings at the Descanso Beach Club, Avalon Grille and Two Harbors — add a new dimension to the island’s nightlife.”

Tickets to the shows are $30 for standard admission or $40 for VIP early entry. They can be purchased online at visitcatalinaisland.com, from any Santa Catalina Island Co. ticket booth or at the Pavilion Hotel or the Hotel Atwater. Tickets are available to buyers 18 and older.
