Here’s a roundup of activities coming up this month on Santa Catalina Island:

March 9 • Catalina Island Conservancy Marathon  
Runners and walkers will head to the starting line to compete in an annual run that takes participants on a course with rugged terrain and spectacular vistas. For more information, or to sign up, visit runcatalina.com.

March 9 • Aero Club Social Fly-In (weather permitting)
Fly-in or take the Wildlands Express from the Avalon Plaza to the Airport in the Sky. Visit with pilots from around the region and tour airplanes during this event that runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call (310) 510-0954 or visit catalinaconservancy.org.

March 17 • St. Patrick’s Day Karaoke Party            
Celebrate the luck of the Irish, island style — at El Galleon Restaurant’s St. Patrick’s Day Party. Happy Hour drink specials, Irish lunch and dinner specials, and live karaoke will be offered at this festive celebration. March 29-31 • Fourth annual Catalina Art Fair and Exhibition (CAFE)            
Enjoy a weekend filled with art during the Catalina Art Association’s annual Art Fair. Located on Crescent Avenue, along the waterfront, this three-day art fair features local and mainland artists, crafts, entertainment and more. March 30 • Annual Rubber Ducky Derby
This annual fundraising event is a hit on the island, as participants support the local children’s theater company, Kids at Play. The duck-racing derby begins at noon on South Beach. Prices for “adoption” of ducks are: solo ducks, $5; five quackers, $20; 30 racing ducks, $100. Corporate sponsorships are $100 (for an extra-large duck). For more information, call (310) 510-0288.
