A Compact, Powerful Common Rail
MAN’s V12 engine with 1,000 kw/1,360 hp meets the “need for speed” with a weight capacity of just under 22 liters. With a maximum torque of 4,700 Nm and a weight-to-power ratio of 1.97 kg/kw, The V12-1360 features excellent full acceleration power and high speed combined with smooth running capabilities. The low specific fuel consumption and 4-valve cylinder head technology of this singly supercharged V12 engine makes this a truly economical common-rail diesel.
The engine benefits from the development and know-how of a leading European commercial vehicle manufacturer, which has also proven its efficiency in common-rail injection in numerous truck engines. In the marine market MAN’s engines offer more power and lower exhaust-gas emissions. The V12-1360 also complies with the international pollution limits in accordance with IMO, RCD 94/25/EC and EPA tier 2.
