Jan. 24 • 5 p.m. Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol officers responded to a reported fight in progress under Stearns Wharf. Officers reported they found an intoxicated woman who had reportedly been assaulted, and two men fighting each other using sticks and bottles as weapons. Officers split up the parties, and Santa Barbara Police Department personnel responded with paramedics. Arrests were made, and injured parties were transported to a local hospital.

Jan. 16 • 9.57 a.m. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Marine Enforcement deputies responded to a reported vessel burglary in B Basin.

Dec. 27 • 3:59 p.m. San Diego Harbor Police officers responded to a report of an attempted theft of a dinghy on Shelter Island.

Dec. 12 • 5:50 a.m. San Diego Harbor Police officers reported a boat collision with a buoy near Shelter Island. Officers assisted after the boat reportedly began to take on water. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 22 • 12:30 p.m. San Diego Harbor Police officers responded to a report of an oil spill near South Marina Park. A docked vessel was suspected of spilling 4 to 5 gallons of oil. The Coast Guard took over the investigation.

Nov. 18 • 1:10 a.m. San Diego Harbor Police officers assisted Coast Guard personnel with a boater suspected of being intoxicated, near Shelter Island.

Oct. 8 • 4:37 p.m. San Diego Harbor Police officers responded to a report of a vessel accident near Zuniga Jetty.
September 30, 2011 - Harbor Blotter
Sept. 7 • 10 a.m. San Diego Harbor Police officers assisted a stranded personal watercraft near Buoy 5. The vessel was towed to safety.
September 16, 2011 - Harbor Blotter
Aug. 27 • 11:30 a.m. San Diego Harbor Police officers assisted a mariner in distress off the Sweetwater Channel. Officers provided a courtesy tow to safety. No injuries were reported.
