Newport Harbor
May 11 • 12:27 a.m
. Orange County Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol officers responded to reports of a loud generator on a moored boat. The generator was shut off.
May 11 • 12:26 p.m. Harbor Patrol officers responded to a report of a boat illegally moored in the turning basin.
May 12 • 8:02 a.m. Harbor Patrol officers re-secured a vessel that had parted from a mooring line.
May 15 • 3:36 p.m. Harbor Patrol officers towed a boat to the anchorage.

VENTURA COUNTY
Channel Islands Harbor
May 1 • 2 p.m.
Channel Islands Harbor Patrol officers responded to a report of a 28-foot vessel taking on water off Kiddie Beach. The vessel was towed to the harbormaster dock and dewatered. Afterward, the vessel was towed to a local boatyard and hauled out for repairs.
May 2 •  10:20 p.m.  Harbor Patrol officers received a report of a person in the water near Harbor Landing. The subject was out of the water when the Harbor Patrol arrived on the scene, and refused medical treatment.
May 4 • 12:35 p.m.  Harbor Patrol officers responded to a report of a 32-foot sailboat disabled in the east channel and unable to sail out of the harbor. The vessel was towed to the harbormaster dock, where it was able to get back under way and depart the harbor.
May 8  • 8:45 p.m. Harbor Patrol officers responded to a report of a fall victim on board a vessel at a local marina. The patient’s condition was assessed, and the person refused medical treatment.
May 9 • 11:10 a.m. Harbor Patrol officers responded to a report of a 27-foot sailboat aground near Light #4. The vessel was towed clear of the beach, and it continued cruising under its own power.
May 13 • 4:50 p.m. Harbor Patrol officers responded to a request from an operator of a 64-foot vessel requesting assistance in mooring, due to high winds and the loss of its port engine. The vessel was assisted and safely moored.
May 14 • 1 p.m. Harbor Patrol officers responded to a 16-foot sailing vessel having difficulties mooring due to high winds. The vessel was towed to its slip.

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY
Santa Barbara Harbor
May 15 • 6 p.m.
Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol officers received a report of a beached boat on East Beach. Officers responded on Patrol Boat #2 and observed a sailboat on the beach below the cemetery. The registered owner was notified and is attempting to salvage his vessel.
May 5 • 6 p.m. Harbor Patrol responded to a report of a vessel dragging anchor at the anchorage east of Stearns Wharf. The unmanned 20-foot sailboat was towed into the harbor.
