ON THE RADAR:Crew of Two races to Coronados

CORONADO — The 12th annual Crew of Two Offshore Race – originally Crew of Two – is scheduled to hit the water at 11 a.m., July 25 with racers zipping around the Coronado Islands.
The 30.5-mile race is held off Point Loma and Mission Beach with the primary competition classes limited to a skipper and a single crew member. An Open Class is also available for those participants preferring to race with unlimited crew members.
Co-sponsored by Point Loma and Chula Vista yacht clubs, the race is popular among the boating community drawing 40 boats in last’s year event.
