2000: Man to walk on water from Los Angeles to Australia

A French adventurer left Marina del Rey Harbor on March 24, 2000 on a transpacific voyage to Australia, according to a story in the March 10-23, 2000 issue of The Log.
Remy Bricka sought to pull his 16-foot catamaran while cross country waterskiing the 7,700 miles to Australia. He estimated the trip would take him six months to complete.
