Boating Demo Days Set May 18-19 at Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE — More than 20 new boats will be on the water and available for test rides at the inaugural Boating Demo Days event, May 18-19 at Lake Elsinore’s La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch.
“There’s nothing as good as a test ride to know that you’ve made the right choice in a new boat, and Lake Elsinore’s new La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch is the perfect place to do it,” said event organizer Bob Brown, of Media Direction. “Besides boats in-water for demos, there will also be a generous assortment of boats — new and used — on land, in addition to a host of popular marine accessory and services vendors.”
Along with boats, gear and accessories, attendees will find food and beverage concessions, and a beer garden.
Other attractions will include the debut and demonstration of several new models of the “Water Car,” a Southern California-designed and manufactured amphibious vehicle capable of speeds of up to 50 mph on water and more than 100 mph on the highway.
“This is a unique opportunity for the general public to enjoy a day on the water, and find out what boating is all about,” Brown said. “It’s been nearly a decade since a genuine ‘boating demo’ event has been offered in Southern California. The time seems right to get people back out on the water, in time for summer vacations.”
Boating Demo Days hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-10 and free for children 5 and younger. On-site parking is $5.
La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch is located at 32040 Riverside Drive. From Interstate 15, take the Lake Street or Central Avenue exit.
