Dana Point Harbor Boat Show Opens May 31

DANA POINT —  The 12th annual Dana Point Harbor Boat Show will return May 31-June 3, showcasing new and brokerage powerboats and sailboats in the water, along with a wide array of shoreside exhibits.

In all, more than 150 exhibitors are expected to show their latest offerings, from luxury yachts, sailboats, electric boats and trailerables to kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and boating accessories.

Along with the boats and watercraft, the event will include numerous activities for show-goers to enjoy — including Hennessey’s burgers and beer, a pre-show drawing for an overnight stay for two at the Dana Point Marina Inn and child-friendly educational activities and marine exhibits with the Ocean Institute. The goal is to offer something for everyone, said Brian Dunn, general manager of Vintage Marine Partners, the presenting company.

“We know veteran boaters, non-boaters and families looking to enjoy a fun-filled weekend will be impressed with the range of displays, exhibits and family-centric activities,” Dunn said. “We look forward to the turnout.”

On Thursday, May 31 — the show’s opening day — admission is free.

A $1 promotion is planned for Friday, June 1, with $1 admission, $1 hot dogs, $1 beer and $1 soda.

Admission on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 is $12 for adults; free for children 12 and younger when accompanied by a paying adult.
