Intrepid Landing Hires Jessica Kirkpatrick as Marina Manager

Byline: The Log Staff

SAN DIEGO — Intrepid Landing, San Diego’s newest marina, has welcomed Jessica Kirkpatrick as its new marina manager.

Intrepid Landing Marina is situated in a protected basin within America’s Cup Harbor. Thirty slips are available for boats up to 200 feet, with views of downtown and within walking distance of marine supply stores, boatyards and restaurants.

A temporary marina office is now on site, and future development of a restaurant, boatyard and offices are planned along the new walkway that connects Shelter Island Drive to the sportfishing landings, continuing through to Harbor Drive.

According to William Ayyad, president of United Development Group Inc. and co-owner of Intrepid Landing, “We are proud to have Jessica on board.  She is dynamic and experienced in the boating industry, and a real asset to the Intrepid Landing team.”

Kirkpatrick comes on board with 13 years’ collective experience managing marina and residential apartment properties. She is well known to the boating community through her previous employment with Chula Vista Marina and Sunroad Resort Marina, as well as being a past board member of the Marina Recreation Association.

Kirkpatrick said she is looking forward to serving in the boating community with associations such as the Clean Marina Program, San Diego Dockmasters Group, Marine Recreation Association and Port Tenants’ Association.

She added that she specializes in managing an environmentally friendly marina, as well as helping Intrepid Landing tenants find the boating services they need to maintain their boats.

“My first goal is to fill the marina and to work with the surrounding neighborhood services,” Kirkpatrick said. “We have a wonderful living-working harborside community right here in our own backyard.”
