Marinafest Set for Channel Islands Harbor, June 16-17

CHANNEL ISLANDS HARBOR — At Channel Islands Harbor Marinafest, a two-day event on the west side of the harbor at Channel Islands Marina, boaters can enjoy a boat show with new and brokerage powerboats, sailboats, electric boats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and a wide array of boating gear and accessories.

In addition, Marinafest attendees can take part in sailing tours and demos from SailTime, electronics training from Valkyrie Yacht Sales, electric boat rides from Central Coast Electric Boats and attractions for the whole family.

At the event, there will be a variety of savory foods available, with gourmet vendors including the Top Dog Hot Dog Cart and Sweet Arleen’s Cupcakes and Bread Pudding Truck. And event-goers can also visit the local Coastal Pacific Farmers Market and the Father’s Day Car Show on Sunday.

Marinafest admission is free; however, donations are requested to support the new Channel Islands Boating Center. The facility’s main focus will be to teach boating skills and support boaters, but it will also provide marine environment outreach programs. The center will include classrooms, a conference room, showers, lockers, and both indoor and outdoor boat storage.

Marinafest hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit cihmarinafest.com.
