Newport Boat Show returns, May 12-15

NEWPORT BEACH — The 43rd annual Newport Boat Show — the show presenting the largest collection of big yachts west of the Mississippi — will return to Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach, May 12-15.

The Newport Boat Show is California’s premier big boat and yacht show, presenting more boats in the water than any other event in the West. At the 2016 event, show-goers will be able to step aboard and compare the unique features of more than 200 pleasureboats — including brand-new models, as well as ocean-tested brokerage yachts that come pre-loaded with sought-after amenities. Coastal and long-distance cruisers, dayboats, center consoles, sportfishers, catamarans, pilothouses and other styles will be on display.

Located at Lido Marina Village, this year’s event will offer more than 400,000 square feet of floating dock exhibits and boardwalk displays, plus a huge selection of boating accessories, electronics, gear and services. With no limits on vessel size this is one show serious boat buyers won’t want to miss.

“Just when you thought we would never see the big yacht selection get any bigger, it’s getting bigger,” said show producer Duncan McIntosh. “There are a number of new boat builders from Europe we’ve never seen before who will be making their West Coast debut at the May show.”

The 2016 Newport Boat Show will feature the newest vessels to reach the Western United States.

Everglades 360LXC

The Everglades 360LXC will make its West Coast debut at the Newport Boat Show. Presented by Newport Pontoons, the vessel is only one of four in the USA, making it a must see for serious boat buyers.

As with every Everglades model, the 360LXC is built to be a fierce fishing machine that also offers guests comfort while casting a line. The official luxury cruising model is more passenger-focused than other models as the vessel boasts a spacious 100-square-foot lounging area that houses an L-shaped lounge that can serve as a dining area or a sunbed.

A retractable flat screen in the lounge area, an electric stovetop and outdoor cockpit cooking area, and a fully equipped wet bar and mixing station can all be found aboard.

The boat sleeps five to six passengers and the redesigned helm features an ergonomic captain and companion seating area with plenty of space for three.
