Port of Los Angeles approves amendment to yacht club lease

A fourth amendment to the permit agreement between Los Angeles Yacht Club and the Port of Los Angeles was approved March 2. The contract amendment, approved by the Port of Los Angeles’ Harbor Commission, keeps the yacht club at the L.A. Harbor through 2053 – or 30 years beyond when the lease was previously set to expire.
Los Angeles YC will continue to operate at its current location in San Pedro. New terms of the lease with the Port of L.A. call for a revised map of its premises, annual rent payment adjustments, assignment options and overall continued operations of the club and small vessel dry storage area.
The club’s lease will expire in March 2053 (unless extended again at a future Harbor Commission meeting).
