Port of Los Angeles Expands Happy Harbor Halloween Festival

LOS ANGELES HARBOR — Boaters and their families are invited to enjoy free carnival-style games, crafts, music, face painting and storytelling from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at the annual Port of Los Angeles Happy Harbor Halloween Festival.

This year’s festival will feature two locations: San Pedro and Wilmington. San Pedro’s festival will be on the Promenade adjacent to Harbor Boulevard, between Third and Fifth streets. The new festival site at Wilmington Waterfront Park will be at the West Plaza Pavilion near C Street and Wilmington Boulevard.

Both festival sites will feature Radio Disney and the Franklin Haynes Marionettes. Radio Disney disc jockeys will be on hand to spin tunes “Monster Mash” style, with games, a creature sound contest and more. The marionettes will perform at 12:30 p.m. in San Pedro and 2 p.m. in Wilmington, with a free puppet craft activity directly following each show.

Everyone is invited to dress in costume for the festivities. Guests can collect candy with their little ones as they trick-or-treat from booth to booth — or they can try their luck at one of the carnival-style games.
There will be free rides aboard the “Spooky Red Cars” in San Pedro for costumed guests. Free parking is available in San Pedro at Harbor Boulevard and Fifth Street near the Boys and Girls Club; and in Wilmington curbside along C Street.
