Win a Boat or SUV While Supporting Kids’ Fishing

The Friends of Rollo/We Take Kids Fishing program is once again conducting its popular annual raffle at the Fred Hall Del Mar Show, with an astounding assortment of prizes.
This annual event has become a staple for many show attendees — who can support this worthwhile charity while getting a chance of winning a new boat, a truck or another big prize.
Since 1999, Friends of Rollo has taken more than 75,000 kids fishing. The money raised is used to take kids from all walks of life on their very first fishing trip.
Trips are requested by a variety of nonprofit organizations and youth groups, and the funding and trip scheduling is provided by Friends of Rollo. The majority of the children enjoying these trips would never have an opportunity to experience the magic of the ocean and the thrill of being on the water, if not for this remarkable program.
The 2013 Friends of Rollo raffle will offer the lucky grand prize winner his or her choice of a 2013 Ford Escape SUV, a 21-foot Striper Center Console boat, 5,000 gallons of gasoline from Costco, a deluxe Alaska vacation package at Dove Island Lodge for four, or $25,000 cash. In addition, there is a list of spectacular runner-up prizes.
The winners will be randomly drawn the on the final day of the Fred Hall Del Mar Show during a special live radio broadcast of “Let’s Talk Hook Up.” Raffle tickets are just $10 and can be purchased during the Fred Hall show, or by contacting Friends of Rollo directly.
In addition to the raffle, Friends of Rollo volunteers will staff a Spin to Win Wheel at the Fred Hall Del Mar Show. This exciting attraction is loaded with great prizes, and every spin results in a prize being awarded. As master boat builder Harold Davis, who serves as president of Friends of Rollo, likes to say, “Step right up! Every Spins a Win!”
Participants will have a chance to win Seeker fishing rods, Daiwa rod/reel combos, Plano tackle boxes, custom lure assortments, cutlery, fishing glasses, name-brand apparel and much more.
Every spin helps Friends of Rollo send more kids fishing. Not only will everyone who spins the wheel win a great prize, the kids who get to go fishing will win, too.
