DANA POINT – Boaters interested in the OC Dana Point Harbor Revitalization Plan are invited to participate in an online Community Forum Survey that closes Feb. 26, OC Dana Point Harbor has announced.

The Community Forum Survey will allow OC Dana Point Harbor to determine the most convenient day of the week and time to hold a meeting that will provide updates and recent developments on the harbor revitalization plan.

Topics will include schedules and financing for both the landside and waterside portions of the project.

The California Coastal Commission approved the proposed $140 million revitalization plan for the landside portion of the project in October, with several modifications. The Coastal Commission’s approved plan includes a reduction of the boater/parking ratio, facilities for the hand-launching of small non-motorized watercraft; an average slip length not to exceed 32 feet, and the redesign and expansion of the existing 5.7-acre boat launch facility.

The plan includes maintaining space for at least 493 boats to be stored on dry land, and 400 of those spaces may be provided in a dry-stack storage facility. There is to be no net loss of boat trailer parking spaces, and a shipyard is to have at least 1.6 acres.

The survey can be found at surveymonkey.com/s/6L87BPV.
