SAN DIEGO — The New Car Dealers Association of San Diego County will offer potential boat owners an opportunity to see the latest trailerable boats during the annual San Diego International Auto Show, which will feature a Trailer Boat & Cycle Expo, Dec. 30-Jan. 3.
The San Diego Sunroad Boat Show team has partnered with the auto show producers to coordinate space sales and manage the Trailer Boat & Cycle Expo within the auto show.
“This is an ideal situation for the auto show,” said Kevin Leap, director of the San Diego International Auto Show. “The cars are still the stars, but now consumers will be able to enjoy exhibits that reflect the unique recreational opportunities that Southern California has to offer. Our show is about how cars fit into the Southern California lifestyle, and now we have a great opportunity to demonstrate the full extent of that lifestyle.”
The focus will be on towable vessels, personal watercraft and cycling sports.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the boating and cycle communities to be part of a marquee event,” said Jim Behun, show director and general manager for Sunroad Resort Marina. “Everyone will benefit by having such fantastic recreational and lifestyle products under one roof.”
The San Diego Sunroad Boat Show will launch a few weeks after the auto show, offering a large selection of 25-foot and larger trailerable boats and bigger in-water boats all the way up to 100-foot motoryachts. Accessories will be showcased in tents on shore, with items ranging from watermakers to marine electronics. The show will run Jan. 28-31.
