In Memoriam: Andrea Newmark

MANHATTAN BEACH — Andrea Newmark, who served as a board member and past president of the California Yacht Brokers Association, or CYBA, died in February after a long battle with a debilitating illness.

Guy Newmark, her husband of 46 years, and her son, Matthew, survived Andrea Newmark, 71.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 20, 1947 and attended Deaconess School of Nursing and later earned degrees in nursing and psychology. Guy and Andrea Newman married in April 1972.

Information shared with The Log about Andrea Newmark’s life stated she was a Registered Nurse who worked for a prominent plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. She also loved fashion and, according to information shared with The Log, once worked for Ralph Lauren.

Andrea Newmark called Manhattan Beach home and was a member of the local country club. She spent the last 10 years of her life battling Parkinson’s disease.

A memorial service was held at her Manhattan Beach residence on March 29.
