Pierpont Bay Spring Series come to an end

VENTURA — Pierpont Bay Yacht Club held the club’s third and final race of the Spring Series on April 9 where nine racers battled it out for a chance at taking home first.
The Spinnaker A Class ran a short course of 15.5 nautical miles that took them around Platform Gina, the Ventura Harbor Whistle buoy and the Chips Mark. Boats competing in the Spinnaker B Class sailed on a 13.1 nautical mile course around Platform Gina.
Spinnaker A Class: 1st: Rival, Team Rival; 2nd: Trouble Maker, Rod Abbott; 3rd: Predator, Larry Listing. Spinnaker B Class: 1st: Paradise Found, Jim Albert; 2nd: Magic Dragon, Mike Hopper; 3rd: Selavy, Scott Junge.
Magic Dragon, Paradise Found and Rival tied for the High Points Perpetual Trophy with 10 points each.
