LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. — Southold, N.Y.-based Sea Tow Services International Inc., an on-water towing assistance provider, has announced the acquisition of Sea Tow Lake Havasu by Capt. Chris “Mac” McCarthy, who also owns Sea Tow Newport Beach/LA. Sea Tow Lake Havasu provides 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service to boaters on the lake.

A Coast Guard-licensed captain, McCarthy brings to Sea Tow Lake Havasu wide experience he has gained since 2004 as owner/operator of Sea Tow Newport Beach/LA, serving boaters in Orange and Los Angeles counties — including Catalina and San Clemente islands.

Prior to taking ownership of that Sea Tow territory, McCarthy worked for Sea Tow Boston and Sea Tow Fort Lauderdale. A lifelong boater, McCarthy also has spent time navigating Chesapeake Bay and other inland bodies of water, including Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and Connecticut’s Candlewood Lake. In addition, he has served as an International Game Fish Association sportfishing tournament observer at Playa Carrillo, Costa Rica; the Venezuelan Grand Slam; and the White Marlin Open in Ocean City, Md.

“I am excited about taking over Sea Tow Lake Havasu, which is one of America’s most exciting inland boating destinations,” McCarthy said. “We look forward to providing our Sea Tow members and other boaters on the lake with outstanding service.”

“We are very pleased that Capt. Mac, one of our most experienced Sea Tow franchise owners, will be taking over operations at this important Western location,” said Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer, Sea Tow’s founder and CEO.

Sea Tow Services International Inc. was established in 1983 and now serves members in more than 100 locations. For more information, visit seatow.com.
