Santa Catalina Island Co. announces new mooring reservation option

CATALINA ISLAND – Santa Catalina Island Company (SCICo) has announced a new mooring reservation option. Starting July 10, the company will launch a mooring management program allowing guests to reserve moorings for their boats during their Catalina stay outside of Avalon.

During SCICo’s involvement in boat shows, special presentations and community outreach, many boaters expressed desire for a reservation system, and SCICo is pleased to provide an easy to use solution for guests in time for the summer season.

“Catalina Island has 11 distinctive coves for mooring and we are excited to bring a new level of convenience to our guests,” says Armando Eason, harbormaster for Two Harbors. “Whether our guests have been visiting for generations or for the first time, we are pleased to know that they will have a safe and secure mooring waiting for them upon arrival.”

Boaters can log onto visitcatalinaisland.com/two-harbors/mooring-reservations and navigate to the Make a Moorings Reservation link and follow the prompts. The reservation system is cove specific so SCICo can assign guests a desirable mooring. In addition to the mooring fee, a $9.99 reservation fee will apply with every booking and a three night minimum is required for holiday and weekend stays.
