Cruisers’ Weekend returns Oct. 10-12

TWO HARBORS – The much-looked-forward-to Cruisers’ Weekend will return to the Isthmus for its 18th year to help kickoff the start of the Mexico and South Pacific cruising season.

Scheduled to run from Friday, Oct. 10 to 12, the free event is open to all boaters to enjoy a weekend of free cruising seminars, boating booths, food, exhibitor booths and live music provided by Brent George and the Fat Masts at the Harbor Reef Bar.

A Tri-tip barbecue will be offered on Saturday, Oct. 11, provided by the Port Royal Yacht Club and drinks by Adventure Voyaging, and sides and deserts by you, the cruises. along Proceeds from the event’s raffle to benefit Heal the Bay, Celp.net, the L.A. Maritime Institute and City of Hope. Visitors can also catch the finish of the Island to Island paddleboard race.

Capt. Holly Scott will also provide a “Round the Rocks Cruise” around the islands of Catalina and Santa Barbara for those interested.

Don’t have your own boat? Sail and stay aboard the tall ship Brigantine Irving Johnson. Cost is $495 per person with a $100 deposit. Cost for two bunks is $950. For more information, contact (619) 796-6398.
