USS New Orleans Makes Stop in Seal Beach

The Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station had a new visitor in town when USS New Orleans, a 684-foot amphibious assault vessel, cruised in Aug. 18. Constructed in New Orleans, ship can serve as a landing platform for helicopters and includes a medical unit. USS New Orleans left for its homeport in San Diego Aug. 25.
