Jamie Kitchens of Encinitas CA kissing a freshly caught yellowtail aboard the San Diego on a three-quarter day trip. Despite unseasonably cool ocean temperatures the yellowtail bite has been decent, but the tuna and Dorado are not within the range that they previously were. The fish was taken on the last stop of the day, off North Coronado Island on August 27, 2013

Imperial Beach Lifeguard Hans Kohler took a couple weeks off from the beach to Sail from Honolulu-San Diego on a Trans-pac 65'. "We ate the most fish ever in any of our lives". Mahi with rice, Mahi with cous-cous, Mahi with spaghetti ! Total of:12 Mahi, One big Yellowfin, Two big Albacore and a 12ft Mako Shark over 13 days of sailing. We pulled the lines entering the Santa Barbara Channel. Photo was taken 1,400 miles out of Hawaii.
