11 Rescued from Drifting Boat off San Diego

SANTA BARBARA (AP) — Authorities have found about $4 million worth of marijuana and an abandoned panga on a beach in Santa Barbara County.
The boat was spotted early March 17 at Arroyo Quemado Beach. Partially hidden in bushes nearby were 50 plastic-wrapped bales of marijuana with a combined weight estimated at 2,000 pounds.
The boat, thought to be from Mexico, had at least 20 fuel containers on board.
