Cabrillo Marine Aquarium Hosts Whale Watching Trips

SAN PEDRO – Witness the fluid movements of the majestic Gray whale during a weekend whale watching trip with Cabrillo Marine Aquarium on Sunday, March 23.

Join aquarium Program Director Larry Fukuhura as he leads a fun-filled day of whale watching aboard a whale watching vessel.
The day begins at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium at 8:30 a.m. with a presentation about the fascinating life of the Pacific gray whale. The fun continues aboard a San Pedro whale watching boat for a 2-hour voyage in search of whales, dolphins, sea lions and sea birds.

The gray whale has one of the longest migrations of any mammal – 10,000 to 14,000 miles round trip – and makes its way right by our coastline! They spend their summers feeding in the nutrient-rich waters of Alaska and their winters in the warm protected lagoons off of Baja California.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a day out on the water. The excursion will conclude at noon back at the docks. Cost is $22 ($20 for member). Reservations are required. Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is located at 3720 Stephen M. White Dr., in San Pedro. Call  (310) 548-7562 or visit, cabrillomarineaquarium.org for more information.
