Cabrillo Way Marina named 2018 Boaters’ Choice Award recipient

Marinas.com named Cabrillo Way Marina as its 2018 Boaters’ Choice of the Year, it was announced on Feb. 12. The award is determined by boater-audience reviews on marinas.com. Online comments about Cabrillo Way Marina noted the boating venue’s staff, cleanliness, new docks and ease and accessibility of slips.
Cabrillo Way Marina, located south of 22nd and Miner Streets, is home to 700 slips. The marina is owned by the Port of Los Angeles and operated by Westrec Marinas.
The Port of Los Angeles is offering a commercial development and marina acquisition opportunity for Cabrillo Way Marina.
“This development opportunity is the latest in a series of public/private partnerships that are transforming the L.A. Waterfront into a water-class destination where visitors will find unique dining, recreation and entertainment opportunities and businesses will find a growing commercial hub centered around ocean and space exploration,” Port of L.A. staff stated in a prospectus.
Future development could include commercial development, marina operations and yacht club opportunities.
