Channel Islands Marinafest Planned June 16-17

CHANNEL ISLANDS HARBOR — The inaugural Channel Islands Harbor Marinafest — a two-day event featuring a boat show with both new and brokerage powerboats and sailboats — is planned June 16-17 on the west side of the Harbor at Channel Islands Marina, within a minute’s walk of Hollywood Beach.
Admission is free to this family friendly festival, however donations are requested at the gate to support the new Channel Islands Boating Instruction and Safety Center.
Marinafest attendees will get to see a wide selection of new and used boats from numerous watercraft and marine companies, enjoy gourmet hot dogs and dessert, and explore Channel Islands Harbor’s many attractions.
The in-water event will include a full range of boats, including new 2013 and 2012 models, used boats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, inflatables and electric boats. Show-goers can also visit the local farmers’ market and the Father’s Day Car Show on Sunday.
Marinafest hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m.?Saturday, June 16; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, June 17.
