JK3 Yachts Newport Announces New Team Members

NEWPORT BEACH — JK3 Yachts has announced a new team at its Newport Beach location. Walter Johnson and Scott Poe have joined JK3 Yachts Newport, offering boating experience and industry expertise to help clients meet their yachting needs.
Johnson grew up in Southern California and has sailed competitively throughout his life. He served as a skipper and tactician on multiple Transpac, Ensenada and Cabo races, and in major racing events in the United States and Asia. One of the highlights of his experience was winning the Galleon Regatta, a 9,600-mile adventure from Acapulco to Manila. In addition, Johnson has logged thousands of hours cruising the Southern California coast in a variety of powerboats.
Poe, who started sailing at age 4, has more than 60,000 nautical miles of racing experience — both offshore and around the buoys. Some of the highlights include 10 Transpacs, the L.A.-to-Tahiti Race, two national championships, countless Mexico races and many great cruises to Catalina, along with experience sailing up and down the California coast. Poe is also a Coast Guard-licensed captain (100 gross tons).
The years of experience Johnson and Poe have in Southern California boating give them skills, knowledge and insight to help each client buyer find the right boat — and help each seller find the right boat buyer. Both stand ready to help boaters from Marina del Rey to Dana Point in making their boating dreams a reality.
