Lido Boat Show Open Through Sept. 29

NEWPORT BEACH — The 35th annual Lido Boat Show — the West’s largest in-water boating expo — opens today at Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach and runs through Sept. 29.

Show-goers will see more than 150 powerboats and sailboats and will have the chance to board and compare both new and ocean-tested brokerage boats.

The show will feature a selection of new-for-2014 models making their debuts, along with an impressive array of boating gear and accessories, marine electronics, engines, generators and yacht services.

Along with the West’s biggest array of large yachts — including some standout models over 100 feet in length — the Lido Yacht Expo will present a wide selection of 35-to 65-footers. Attendees will can inspect and compare motoryachts, sportfishers, family cruisers, sailboats, long-range trawlers and sport yachts from top U.S. and international builders, represented by the West Coast’s top boat dealers and yacht brokers.

Lido Marina Village is located at Via Lido and Newport Boulevard in Newport Beach, one block south of Pacific Coast Highway. Show hours — rain or shine — are noon to 7 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15 for adults and free for children 12 and younger — and major credit cards are accepted.
