Lobster is on the menu at Redondo Beach Lobster Festival

REDONDO BEACH — The 21st annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival kicks off Sept. 23 with live music and a plethora of lobster-themed dishes.

For three days guests can dine on succulent Maine Lobster while listening to Grammy nominated bands during the family friendly event held at Seaside Lagoon.

Standup paddleboard lessons, a Kiddy Area complete with face painting and balloon art and much more are only some of the fun events planned for the festival.

This year’s Lobster Bistro chef is Jessica Jordan from Fishbar Manhattan Beach who will be crafting lobster rolls, lobster mac n’ cheese. Lobster tacos, lobster guacamole, and lobster corn chowder. Meal tickets range from $5-$45 per person and are available online (lobsterfestival.com).

Music headliners include Ambrosia, Abbey Road and Jumping Jack Flash, The Pine Mountain Logs and more. Full musical lineup can be found at lobsterfestival.com/bands.

The Redondo Beach Lobster Festival’s hours are 6-11 p.m., Sept. 23; noon-11 p.m., Sept. 24 and noon-8 p.m., Sept. 25. General admission starts at $15 for adults (online), $20 for adults (at the door), and $5 for children per day or an adult three-day pass for $35 (online). VIP Lounge tickets are also available for purchase at lobsterfestival.com.

Seaside Lagoon is located at 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach.
