Marina del Rey Boat Dealerships Merge

MARINA DEL REY — Sailboats Unlimited Inc. and Cruising Yachts Inc. have announced the merger of their yacht dealerships in Marina del Rey in a new dealership named Cruising Yachts Unlimited Inc.
The new dealership represents the Jeanneau line formerly represented by Cruising Yachts and the Marlow-Hunter line formerly represented by Sailboats Unlimited throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties — along with the brokerage operations of both companies.
The new dealership is managed by Steve Curran, former manager of Sailboats Unlimited. The sales staff includes industry veterans Buzz Stoddard, formerly of Cruising Yachts; and John Carello, Jack Silver and Jim Foyer, formerly of Sailboats Unlimited.
The new company is located in the former offices of Sailboats Unlimited, at 13505 Bali Way in Marina del Rey.
According to Tom Dameron and Craig Fecker, the two major principals involved in the merger, “This merger enables us to combine the respective strengths of these two well-established dealerships into one strong organization, serving yacht enthusiasts in the Los Angeles and Ventura County markets.
“At Crusing Yachts Unlimited, we now have an experienced and successful sales staff with over 80 accumulated years of experience in the industry, in one location,” Dameron and Fecker said. “Both dealerships also bring a strong presence in the brokerage market that we will serve even better through this combination of the two sales organizations.”
