Marina del Rey postpones MarinaFest

The 10th annual MarinaFest Boat Show in Marina del Rey has been postponed due to Coronavirus, it was announced on June 16. MarinaFest was slated to take place June 20-21 at Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey.

“Sadly we are postponing until it is safe to proceed,” an email from organizers stated. “We thank our sponsors and guests and will let you all know when it is safe to continue.”

A post on the event’s Facebook page stated: “[Due] to the continuing restrictions on public gatherings MarinaFest has been postponed until further notice. We are planning for 2021.”

MarinaFest is Marina del Rey’s official kick-off for summer. On tap for this year’s event was an in-water boat show, wine and beer garden, tall ship tours, water tours, kayaking lessons, live music, kids activities, and food trucks.

Planning is underway for the 2021 iteration of MarinaFest. The boat show is tentatively planned for June 19-20. Visit marinafest.org for updates. There is a possibility this year’s event comes back on calendar.
