Oceanside approves work plan for Harbor and Beaches Advisory Committee

A 2017-19 work plan for Oceanside’s Harbor and Beaches Advisory Committee was approved by the local City Council.
Council members unanimously adopted the work plan as part of their May 17 meeting; the council and committee work together on all harbor and beach issues.
The Harbor and Beaches Advisory Committee will continue addressing substantive harbor issues such as vessel safety, infrastructure improvements and facility maintenance.
Specific goals of the work plan include:
- Encourage and promote boating, pollution and other water-related special events
- Review issues raised by harbor users
- Resolve vessel safety issues
- Monitor ongoing and future harbor improvements.
The nine-member committee currently has three vacancies.
