San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina Offers Boatside Food Service

SAN DIEGO –  Visiting boaters who prefer to dine on the deck rather than in a restaurant can now take advantage of the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina’s new Exchange Good to Go Program.

“It’s a Marriott program and fortunately since the marina is part of it they [boaters] get the same amenities,” said Ken Guyer, manager for San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina. “The concept is new; it’s less expensive than the $22 hamburgers than you get from room service.”

The company’s new Exchange Good to Go program offers around the clock order-in dining service where guests can select food items sold at a reasonable price. The hotel provides the service at all Marriott locations. Since the marina is connected to the hotel, boaters using the marina are granted the same privilege.

The difference between the Exchange Good to Go program and room service is that it’s not a room service menu, Guyer said. The program has its own less expensive menu, offering late night guests a pick up window where they can order and pick up their food should they be too hungry to wait for delivery.

“We’re excited about the program and plan to start rolling out the service in two weeks,” said Hotel Director Steve Pagano. Logistics are still being worked out along with what might be included on the menu.
