Sea Tow opens 31 new Life Jacket Loaner Stands

SOUTHOLD, New York — Sea Tow Foundation, has selected 31 nonprofit organizations and boating agencies to host new Life Jacket Loaner Stands this spring as part of its Life Jacket Loaner program. The new stands and life jackets have been purchased with a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.

These new stands, located in 19 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands, will join the more than 290 Life Jacket Loaner Stands already established around the country by the nonprofit Sea Tow Foundation. The loaner stands, located in popular boating areas such as boating ramps, marinas, and parks, let boaters who need a life jacket borrow one or more free of charge for the day to help keep themselves and their passengers safer on the water.

The California Life Loaner Stands can be found in the following locations: Treasure Island Sailing Center, in San Francisco; LifeSail in Marina del Rey; Oceanside Harbor Division, in Oceanside.
