Ventura Concert Series Begins

VENTURA — The sounds of the top hits and old-time favorites performed live will greet boaters and local residents during Ventura’s annual summer concert series, starting July 13.
“Music Under the Stars” summer concert performers will take to the stage on nine consecutive Saturdays from July 13 to Sept. 7. The shows are scheduled from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the historic Olivas Adobe, located near the harbor.
Attendees are welcome to get up and dance on the wooden ballroom floor, or cuddle up with a loved one and nosh on their own picnic dinners. Performers include: July 13: Fantastic Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute band; July 20: Leslie Paula and the Latin Souls Band; July 27: Shari Puorto Band, rock and blues; Aug. 3: Upstream, reggae; Aug. 10: The Kings of Classic Rock; Aug. 17: Lao Tizer, jazz, rock and pop world fusion; Aug. 31: Savor, a Carlos Santana tribute band; and Sept. 7: Lisa Haley and the Zydeco.
