Letter to the Editor — Duffy Docks a Good Idea

I just got the latest Log, and I was struck by your article about (the proposal for) changing from moorings to docks in Newport Harbor.

I am from San Diego, Southwestern Yacht Club and former owner of Quivira Marine Servicenter. Since my retirement in 1996, I have traveled a bit, and recalled seeing a similar arrangement in Camden Harbor, Camden Maine.

If you Google “Camden Harbor, Maine,” you will see a great, current example of the (new) Duffy Dock system.

By the way, I think it’s a good idea.
