Early registration ends Aug. 15 for U.S. Sailing Leadership Forum 2016

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (LOG NEWS SERVICE) — Early registration will end Aug.15 for U.S. Sailing’s Sailing Leadership Forum 2016, which is scheduled to be held in San Diego Feb. 4- 6, 2016.

U.S. Sailing said in a statement that the forum — which is open to anyone, not just US Sailing members — offers a unique experience for leaders representing all areas of sailing to connect on important issues facing sailing. The 2016 forum features a new line-up of insightful presentations that address the many relevant topics in sailing, it said.

The forum will include presentations, seminars, panel discussions and break-out sessions on the following topics: developing programs; marketing and communications; administration and management; regatta and racing; growing the sport, fleet, class and club organizations; rules and officials and hands-on and outdoor (includes overboard recovery, outboard engine repair and maintenance, fiberglass and gelcoat repair, etc.).

U.S. Sailing said instructors, coaches, race officials, program directors, class and fleet leaders, yacht club management, organization leaders and volunteers will benefit by attending and would find key takeaways from the event.

Early registration for the forum, which is scheduled to be held at the Hilton San Diego Resort, is $250, a savings of $50 off the standard registration fee of $300.

For further information or to register for the forum visit U.S. Sailing’s website ussailing.org or contact Katie Ouellette at events@ussailing.org or 401-683-0800, ext. 610.
