Sailing Yacht A is not only on the top 10 list of most expensive yachts, but she is also the tallest yacht in the world. Her masts measure 90 meters (about 295 feet), according to a report by CNN.

This superyacht was built at the Nobiskrug shipyard in Kiel, Germany. Nobiskrug is an affiliate of Privinvest Holding, an international shipbuilding company based in Lebanon.

Sailing Yacht A’s unique features include an “underwater observation pod, hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and state-of-the-art navigation systems. [Not to mention,] the three masts are the tallest and most highly loaded freestanding composite structures in the world,” according to a Privinvest press release.

News outlets report Sailing Yacht A was sold to Andrey Melnichenko, a Russian billionaire, for an estimated $450 million. According to Forbes, Melnichenko is in the fertilizer, coal and power generator industries. He was also a co-founder for MDM Bank.
