Registration opens for the 108th Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH — Calling all Boaters – registration is open for the 108th Christmas Boat Parade, setting sail in Newport Beach, Dec. 14-18.

Hosted by the Commodores Club of the Chamber of Commerce, nearly 100 boats will take to Newport Harbor for five nights. With a wide variety of participating vessels, the festively-decorated yachts, dinghies and kayaks will vie for the top prize in categories including Best Animation/Special Effects, Best Humor/Originality, Best Music and, of course, Best Lights.

“Our boat parade is not just a few boats getting in the holiday spirit and sailing around the harbor. Nearly 100 boat owners spend weeks, sometimes months, preparing for this holiday event. It’s the longest-running boat parade around,” said David Beek, co-chair of Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and owner of Marine Fuel in Newport Beach.
