TAMPA, FLORIDA—News of yet another boat show cancelation has been confirmed. The National Marine Manufacturers Association reported as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, NMMA has canceled the Progressive Insurance Tampa Boat Show scheduled for September 11–13.
“While we remained hopeful that the Show could proceed as scheduled, we strongly believe that canceling this event is the most prudent course of action for all our stakeholders,” NMMA said in a released statement. “Please know that our team is working diligently to implement the proper health and safety procedures for future shows and aligning with federal, state and local officials to do so. More information on our winter shows will be available in the coming months.”
NMMA said they are currently planning to move forward with the Progressive Insurance Norwalk Boat Show, scheduled for September 24–27, 2020.
