Bayport Yachts appoints new associate broker

NEWPORT BEACH — Bayport Yachts announced on Nov. 24 that Roger O’Malley has joined the firm to assist with the company’s continued growth in fine power and sailing yachts, sales and service.

O’Malley was most recently the regional sales manager for YachtWorld North America, serving the recreational maritime industry in California, Hawaii and the southwest. He offers a wealth of experience, having spent the last six years in the California yacht brokerage trade and more than 30 years in business management and ownership, according to a company media release.

“In my role at YachtWorld I worked with many yacht dealer/brokers and chose to join Bayport Yachts as an associate broker based on their integrity, products and 29-year local history,” O’Malley said. “I really appreciate all of the tools and infrastructure in place to support me – and also our clients.”

J.R. Means, president of Bayport Yachts, has worked with O’Malley previously and is pleased to welcome him to Bayport Yachts.

“We are excited to have Roger come aboard. He brings a high level of customer service and yacht sales expertise to our company,” Means said. “His sailboat knowledge will be of particular value as we expand our brokerage activities into that sector.”

Means added Bayport Yachts will also be leveraging O’Malley’s Dana Point Harbor connections to promote the company’s Prestige, Chaparral, and Chris Craft new boat lines there. For more information on Bayport Yachts, visit bayportyachts.com.
