NEWPORT BEACH — The 43rd annual Newport Boat Show — the show presenting the largest collection of big yachts west of the Mississippi — will return to Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach, May 12-15.
The Newport Boat Show is California’s premier big boat and yacht show, presenting more boats in the water than any other event in the West. At the 2016 event, show-goers will be able to step aboard and compare the unique features of more than 200 pleasureboats — including brand-new models, as well as ocean-tested brokerage yachts that come pre-loaded with sought-after amenities. Coastal and long-distance cruisers, dayboats, center consoles, sportfishers, catamarans, pilothouses and other styles will be on display.
Located at Lido Marina Village, this year’s event will offer more than 400,000 square feet of floating dock exhibits and boardwalk displays, plus a huge selection of boating accessories, electronics, gear and services. With no limits on vessel size this is one show serious boat buyers won’t want to miss.
“Just when you thought we would never see the big yacht selection get any bigger, it’s getting bigger,” said show producer Duncan McIntosh. “There are a number of new boat builders from Europe we’ve never seen before who will be making their West Coast debut at the May show.”
The 2016 Newport Boat Show will feature the newest vessels to reach the Western United States.
The Everglades 360LXC will make its West Coast debut at the Newport Boat Show. Presented by Newport Pontoons, the vessel is only one of four in the USA, making it a must see for serious boat buyers.
As with every Everglades model, the 360LXC is built to be a fierce fishing machine that also offers guests comfort while casting a line. The official luxury cruising model is more passenger-focused than other models as the vessel boasts a spacious 100-square-foot lounging area that houses an L-shaped lounge that can serve as a dining area or a sunbed.
A retractable flat screen in the lounge area, an electric stovetop and outdoor cockpit cooking area, and a fully equipped wet bar and mixing station can all be found aboard.
The boat sleeps five to six passengers and the redesigned helm features an ergonomic captain and companion seating area with plenty of space for three.

Designed to define a slender boat for fast berthing with an aggressive profile and sports-oriented personality, the Pershing 62 is impressive at first glance and is bound to turn heads as it makes its West Coast debut at the Newport Boat Show.
The Pershing 62, presented by Ferretti Group, features a graceful streamlined profile that continues inside the cabin with a full beam master cabin positioned for optimal light. The VIP cabin in the bow has a double window with a porthole designed to enhance natural light.
The Pershing 62 is available in two versions: with three en-suite cabins and a separate shower, or two cabins with a lower dinette instead of the guest cabin.
Galeon 445 HTS
MarineMax will be bringing the sporty Galeon 445 HTS to wow boat-show guests with the vessel’s beautiful design of the third generation Galeon yachts.
Once aboard, guests will enter a world of unprecedented luxury and innovation. Bright airy spaces lit by ample skylights and large windows await passengers. The wide glass sunroof and retractable aft exterior glass bulkhead open to allow sunshine and breezes to flow through the helm and salon which seamlessly blends into the cockpit. However, the main focus of the Galeon 445 HTS is on high-performance.
Every Galeon yacht is a piece of handcrafted excellence. Galeon designs, conceived by top naval architects such as the UK’s Tony Castro, assure unparalleled modern styling and convenience. Their ability to hand-tailor your boat – down to even the rivets – combined with leading technology and design, makes every Galeon yacht exceptional.
72 Ocean Alexander Pilothouse 2016
Another welcomed addition to the show is the 72 Pilothouse from Ocean Alexander. Boasting more beam and more living options, the vessel features a more modern hull that gives you better speed with less fuel burn.
Presented by Alexander Marine, the 72 Pilothouse is a new take on an Ocean Alexander classic that continues the company’s obsession with engineering, safety and performance.
The 72 Pilothouse provides boaters with some choices that will have buyers mulling over more possibility for your master stateroom, such as a private staircase entry or a massive shower room or large whirlpool.
Alexander Marine, will also have two Pursuits on display — the Pursuit S 280 and the 365i Pursuit Sport Coupe 2015. The new 42 Regal Sport Coupe and 28 Regal Express 2016 will also be at the show.
South Coast Yachts is scheduled to bring a host of new vessels for boat show guests to admire. The lineup includes three new Oceanis Sailboats, two new Gran Turismos – 40- and 49-footers, and a 34 Swift Trawler. Crow’s Nest Yachts will exhibit the Heesen Yachts 94 Flying Dutchman while Fjord North America will have the new Fjord 40 on display.
The Hampton Yacht Group of California will have two new boats on display — the 64 and E65. JK3 will exhibit the new Moody 54 and Heritage Yacht sales will bring new Catalina and Hunter sailboats to the show. The new Mystic 4200 Center Console will be presented by Mystic Powerboat Sales.
New Catalina and Hunter sailboats will be at the Heritage Yacht Sales display for boat show guests to have a look at. In addition to bringing the Galeon 445 HTS to Newport, MarineMax will also have the Aquila44 on display.
Show-goers can come aboard vessels of all models and sizes to see the latest and greatest features and amenities that today’s top boat builders have to offer. Guests will also find a whole host of exhibitors both shoreside and in the water showcasing innovative products and services that make owning and operating a big boat more enjoyable.
Boating services will also be showcased at the annual show, including marine financing and insurance. Three standup paddleboard exhibitors will be on site — both on land and on the water — for guests to ask questions and observe the latest boards.
And don’t miss the cooking demonstration scheduled to take place at the on-the-water-Eggs Plus Pan exhibit.
