New Orleans Comes to Long Beach at Bayou Festival, June 23-24

LONG BEACH — Want to visit New Orleans without leaving Southern California? Visitors to the 25th annual Long Beach Bayou Festival — June 23-24 at Rainbow Lagoon Park — can enjoy the flavor of “the Big Easy” a short distance from Long Beach Shoreline and Rainbow Harbor marinas.

Festival attendees can listen to live music from numerous blues, Cajun and zydeco artists; relax on blankets and lawn chairs; and browse through a Mardi Gras-theme mini French Quarter offering food and beverages, shops, arts and crafts.

The basic full festival ticket provides all-day access to all public areas of the festival. However, a VIP ticket provides backstage access, two alcoholic beverages and reserved seats.

Parking is available across the street from the festival grounds. Additional parking areas and free shuttles will be available from downtown Long Beach.

Festival hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets can be purchased by phone at (562) 424-0013 or at the festival gate. General one-day admission for adults is $25 in advance; $30 at the gate. VIP one-day admission is $65. Discounted senior and student tickets are also available.
